SIR, as part of the Alliance of Specialty Medicine, submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on the Comprehensive Regulations to Uncover Suspicious Healthcare Activity (CRUSH) request for information. In the letter, we raised concerns about management burdens, such as the prior authorization requirements under the Wasteful and Inappropriate Service Reduction (WISeR) Model, as well as potential changes to Medicare’s claims submission deadlines and Medicare Advantage enrollment requirements. Read the CRUSH RFI response.

Additionally, SIR continues to seek information regarding the impact of WISeR on timely patient access to care and continues to advocate for policies that protect evidence-based, minimally invasive treatments. We encourage members to share their experiences to help inform ongoing advocacy efforts and ensure patient access to appropriate, life-improving care by taking our member survey.
