Supports women performing IR research and to expand the pipeline for medical students or residents to learn about IR research.

Funds research in areas that advance IR and patient care. These grants generally address a specific hypothesis and generate preliminary data to strengthen applications to peer-reviewed funding agencies. For faculty and those with limited research experience.

Facilitates independent research and academic success, this grant is for interventional radiologists over the age of 40 who’ve recently begun academic careers after years in non-academic practice.

Provides support for trainees enrolled in graduate-level training programs outside the clinical realm of IR but still crucial to IR’s future. Goal: create collaborative research training environments.

Designed to foster an interest in research by funding a summer research project conducted by a medical student in an area identified by SIR Foundation as important to the advancement of interventional radiology and patient care.

Supports junior IR faculty members early in their academic careers to allow time for research. The goal is for grant recipients to subsequently obtain additional funding from other sources, such as NIH.

Supports projects in clinical research areas important to the advancement of interventional radiology and patient care that align with SIR Foundation's clinical research goals.

Fosters an interest in research by funding a project conducted by the resident to advance IR and patient care.
