Get involved in grassroots advocacy

Grassroots advocacy involves SIR volunteer members contacting their local, state, or federal officials about certain issues that affect interventional radiology. In contrast to direct lobbying, grassroots advocacy is citizen-based activism. Grassroots advocates are individuals who are willing to act online, on the phone or by mail to contact their elected officials. Through education and training, grassroots advocates can learn to collaborate directly with elected officials to promote interventional radiology. The goal of Voices for IR is to increase the shared voice of interventional radiology in government and policy settings.

Action center

The action center enables Voices for IR to contact lawmakers and regulators about issues that matter to SIR. When an issue arises, SIR will generate an advocacy campaign where you will see the description of the issue at hand, whom to contact, and a suggested message.
