SIR is proud to announce that Charles E. Ray Jr., MD, PhD, FSIR, and Brian F. Funaki, MD, FSIR, now serve as the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology’s (JVIR’s) co-editors-in-chief, effective Jan. 1, 2026. Dr. Ray, a past president of SIR, and Dr. Funaki, a past chair of the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting and a 15-year JVIR Editorial Board member, bring extensive leadership experience to the journal. Their shared goal is to maintain the integrity and excellence of JVIR while thoughtfully evolving the journal to best serve its readership and the broader IR and medical community. They are committed to strengthening the journal’s relevance and impact, advancing its mission, and ensuring alignment with the values and goals of SIR.
