On April 29, the U.S. House of Representatives Education and Workforce Committee passed the Student Success and Taxpayer Savings Plan, a bill that, if enacted through the budget reconciliation process, would eliminate the Grad PLUS plan and place strict limitations on the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program for medical residents. These policies would undermine the future physician workforce and put pressure on interventional radiology residents and prospective medical students.

SIR is asking all members to contact their member of Congress and ask that they oppose cuts and limitations on medical student loan repayment programs. Take action on this important issue.
