SIR attended the AMA Relative Value Scale Update Committee
SIR RUC Adviser Minhaj S. Khaja, MD, MBA, FSIR; Alternate RUC Adviser, Robert J. Kennedy, MD, FSIR; RUC Members Michael A. Schacht, MD, MBA, David M. Tabriz, MD, MBA, and SIR staff attended the American Medical Association (AMA) Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC) meeting on Sept. 24–26. SIR and collaborating societies presented five action plans.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will address value recommendations in the FY 2028 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule. Preparations for the January 2027 RUC meeting have begun. Please direct your questions to Ashley Maleki at economics@sirweb.org.
