SIR has activated our grassroots efforts, including a call to action, to garner support for the Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act (H.R. 879).

The bill, introduced on Jan. 31, would eliminate the 2.8% pay cut imposed by the calendar year 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule rule and replace the cut with an inflationary adjustment to help address the rising costs of medical practice.

Adding your voice to our grassroots campaign through the call to action will help increase our chances that this bill will be included in the March reconciliation package.

The bill was introduced by Reps. Greg Murphy, MD, R-N.C., and Jimmy Panetta, D-Calif., along with Reps. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, MD, R-Iowa; John Joyce, MD, R-Pa.; Carol Miller, R-W.V.; Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y.; Raul Ruiz, MD, D-Calif.; Kim Schrier, MD, D-Wash.; Ami Bera, MD, D-Calif.; and Raja Krishnamoorthi, D-Ill. Additional co-sponsors include Reps. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., Andy Harris, R-Md., and Rich McCormick, R-Ga.
