The 2nd Annual Quality Improvement Forum: Improving Outcomes, Safety, and Efficiency in IR, held at SIR 2025, was a great success.  This year’s forum featured a diverse range of presentations addressing key quality improvement topics in interventional radiology including resource use in U.S. IR departments, long-term complication analysis, quality reporting in embolization, radiation safety, fluoroscopy efficiency, and emergency preparedness through cardiac arrest simulations. Attendees gained practical strategies from real-world case studies to drive quality improvement in their own programs.

The Best Quality Presentation Award was presented to the University of Rochester Medical Center for their outstanding project, "Implementing a Cardiac Arrest Model and Code Simulation in Interventional Radiology: A New Standard for Emergency Preparedness." Congratulations to Shannon Woughter, PA; Lindsay Marchetti, PA; Charles Gorton, RN; Lisa M. Owen, RN; Adrienne Conrad, RN; Marco Ertreo, MD; and Andrew Cantos, MD, for their exemplary contribution to advancing emergency preparedness in IR.
