Outgoing JVIR editor Dan Sze, MD, PhD, FSIR, shares his farewell editorial with the JVIR audience reflecting on his time as JVIR editor.
"It took years to fully understand the scope of the job of Editor-in-Chief of JVIR. Balancing the demands of the scientific community, the clinical community, the Society, the Foundation, the publisher, extramural funders, students and trainees, talent recruitment, international outreach, industry and advertisers turned out to be much more than a full-time job. The added challenge of the COVID pandemic shutting down a large proportion of IR research was then followed by the insidious infiltration of improper use of artificial intelligence. I am grateful and proud that the all-star editorial board successfully powered the journal through the turbulence, and the journal is the highest quality and rigor it has ever been."
