Endovascular stenting greatly reduced the severity of post-thrombotic syndrome (PTS) in patients and improved their overall quality of life, according to the results of the Chronic Venous Thrombosis: Relief with Adjunctive Catheter-Directed Therapy (C-TRACT) trial.

The trial found that patients in the stent treatment arm showed significantly greater improvement in their PTS and their quality of life than the control arm patients, through 6 months.
