Seeking applications for a PGY-5 spot in our Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency program. Qualified applicants currently enrolled in US accredited DR or IR residency programs who have completed at least 12 weeks of IR rotations will be considered.
The ACGME-accredited Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency training program at The University of Illinois Chicago has a long history of producing distinguished physicians and leaders in the field of interventional radiology. Located in the heart of Chicago, UIC is a foremost research institution and plays a crucial role in providing much needed care to residents on the west and south sides of the city. Our residents spend a majority of their time at the University of Illinois Hospital (UI Health). This includes time spent at our state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility and on-site longitudinal care clinic. Trainees are immersed in all aspects of clinical vascular and interventional radiology including the full spectrum of interventional oncology, acute and chronic venous disorders, benign and malignant hepatobiliary interventions, women's and men's health interventions, musculoskeletal interventions, dialysis access, portal hypertension, post-transplant interventions, venous access and malformations, as well as pediatric care.
Our Interventional Radiology Division provides clinical and consultative support for a busy renal, hepatic, pancreatic and small bowel transplantation program and is actively involved in numerous on-campus tumor boards and multiple active clinical trials. The Integrated Residency experience emphasizes the development of consultative and clinical skills in addition to high volume hands-on exposure to procedures across all areas of IR.
