Endorsement

Endorsement by the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) means that SIR has reviewed the content of the course and has, through a physician review process against a set of annually updated criteria, deemed it in line with SIR's mission, vision and core values. SIR is not responsible in assisting with the creation or development of the course and no CME credit will be awarded through the Society.

Endorsement applications must be received by SIR no later than 2 months before the start date of the meeting. Fees are based on the type of meeting, number of meeting days, and number of participants provided on the application. SIR offers Regional Angio Club rates in addition to in-person, multiple day meeting rates.

SIR will not endorse industry meetings planned and/or hosted by ineligible companies.

Endorsement benefits

After an application is completed, submitted and approved by the committee, a non-refundable, fee will be paid to SIR by the endorsed meeting organizer. In exchange, the endorsed meeting organizer will receive an approved SIR logo (the “endorsement logo”), according to terms specified in the endorsement agreement.

Endorsement marketing package (included with in-person meetings and available for purchase by Regional Angio Clubs)

Additional marketing of your meeting can be purchased, to include:

Meeting listing on the SIRconnect events listing on the homepage
Meeting listing in the calendar section of SIR's bi-weekly and/or monthly digital newsletters, or an equivalent email communication as determined by SIR
Meeting listed in IR Quarterly, print (dependent on timing) and online version
An additional 10% discount on additional online and in-print promotional opportunities (if space available). Opportunities can be viewed on SIR's advertising page.

Joint-providership

Through joint providership, SIR will work with you to plan the educational content of your meeting and provide continuing medical education (CME) for physician attendees. SIR will provide accreditation of your CME program for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ toward the Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association. SIR will provide certificates of participation to your learners retrievable through the SIR Learning Center.

Joint-providership applications must be received by SIR no later that 9 months before the start date of the meeting. Fees are based on the number of credit hours + number of participants provided on the application.

SIR must review the processes used to collect financial relationship information and the process used to determine which financial relationship are relevant to the educational content. SIR shall be permitted to audit the review and mitigation results to determine whether the joint provider is following our approved process and policy.

Joint-providership meetings shall follow all ACCME standards regarding employees or owners of ineligible companies, and the methods used to inform learners of the presence or absence of relevant financial relationships of all individuals in control of content and mitigation statements. SIR will not be responsible for the logistical planning of your meeting.

SIR will not engage in joint-providership with ineligible companies.

SIR Mailing List Request

You can purchase the SIR mailing list for your physical meeting flyer. Sample mail piece is required for approval and all requests get reviewed by an SIR committee to enure the content is IR related. Mailing list requests for meetings 2 months before and after the SIR Annual Scientific Meeting will not be approved.
