Grassroots action
Volunteer to become a grassroots leader. As a member of the grassroots team, you will be assigned to lead a specific geographic district. When Action Alerts arise, you may help mobilize your colleagues in your area to take action and make the voice of interventional radiology heard.
Specifically, the Action Alerts will prompt you to take action by asking that your colleagues call or write their members of Congress and ask them to support or oppose legislation or policy issues that affect interventional radiology.
SIR will provide the information you need to contact your colleagues and provide talking points for a telephone call or a predrafted letter that they can send electronically.
In recognition of your grassroots service, you will be recognized in an edition of Washinigton Interventionalist Report and at the SIR's Annual Scientific Meeting.
