Celebrated by IR program directors and IRs-in-training nationwide, this annual, 2-½ day course prepares training interventional radiologists to enter private practice or academia with material that critically augments formal training paths. Leading interventional radiologists, representing different practice models, deliver stellar programming on peripheral arterial disease (PAD), interventional oncology (IO), venous disease, the business of IR, and other topics pertinent to creating successful careers as IRs.

Attended by at least one fellow from nearly every training program in the country, the Fellows Spring Practicum serves as an excellent touchpoint for fellows, program directors and industry to address a wide range of educational, professional development and business matters. Designed for current vascular and interventional radiology fellows, a limited number of senior IR residents (PGY-5 and PGY-6) and early career IRs will also be welcomed.

Corporate symposia

Reach this receptive audience of future physician decision-makers directly. All meeting registrants are encouraged to attend corporate symposia, leading up to and during the course at times set by the program faculty. Symposia within the hours of the program will be provided with use of the general session room with its existing setup, including AV. 

At the request of the Practicum course directors, each symposium presented should align with or complement the program topics on that day in the scientific program.  The main program areas are in vascular medicine, interventional oncology, miscellaneous non-vascular topics (including MSK and GI topics), and also the business and practice of interventional radiology.

Package Delivery & Handling

  • Client must notify the hotel of all meeting-related packages sent to the hotel prior to their delivery.
  • The hotel will deliver cartons or boxes to the appropriate function room(s).
  • Any boxes, crates or skids shipped to the hotel 48 hours prior to group’s event date will be subject to $10.00 holding fee, per box, per day.
  • Any boxes, crates or skids left at the hotel 48 hours following group’s event date will be subject to $10.00 holding fee, per box, per day.
  • Any one article weighing greater than 100 pounds shall be the client's for delivery, handling and set-up.
  • As storage space is limited, no packages may be stored without prior approval.
  • Client holds harmless the Hotel, its staff and management, for any boxes, cartons, packages or articles either lost or damaged.

Every individual at the meeting must have an authorized badge. Three complimentary badges are included with your exhibits contract. Additional exhibitor badges are $500 each.

The Society of Interventional Radiology designates this live activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This program will be approved for self-assessment CME credits (SA-CME) by the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR). SIR is awarded Deemed Status by the American Board of Radiology (ABR).
