Corporate Participation

What's your company's role?

ACTiVE is an excellent opportunity for your company to meet with physicians practicing in the deep vein space. Exhibiting at this meeting is the essential way to get in front of any physical audience with your brand, products, proprietary training, or other services. Dedicated hands-on workshops are another opportunity where attendees come with a focused mindset for experiential learning and technical questions. Other advantages to your corporate participation include:

  • Recognition on materials sent to all members of the SIR community (over 7,000)
  • Prominent recognition during the meeting via signage, tables, and thank yous from the podium
  • Participation in the hands-on workshops to help train physicians learning to use your company's devices

Corporate philanthropic support

Charitable support of the Society of Interventional Radiology and/or its individual programs leads to better training for health care providers and enhanced outcomes for their patients.

Providing an educational grant to this meeting allows your business to increase the growth of interventional radiology through directly aiding the quality of this learning program. Your company's support of the meeting will be recognized repeatedly through signage, in verbal thanks by lecturers and via other platforms.

Companies wishing to promote wider initiatives to improve interventional radiology as a professional and innovative medical field, and the health care environment in general, may want to think about a role in the Corporate Ambassador Program (CAP). CAP is the Society's unified platform for contributing corporate grants and comes with a range of opportunities for recognition, priority distribution of special information reports, and priority treatment in exhibiting and advertising decisions.

If you would like to learn more about how to offer corporate support for SIR's educational programming or engage with CAP, please contact Terry McCormick, director of corporate relations.

Hands-on Workshops

Requirements

Any exhibiting company is welcome to join as long as they can present a hands-on demonstration relevant to the given topic. Participation in the workshops has no cost. However, your company must be participating as an exhibitor at this meeting to present your brand or any of your products or services to meeting attendees.

SIR generally provides tables, unmarked tablecloths, electricity, and any food items used as tissue samples. Any other supplies necessary to conduct a demonstration will need to be furnished by your company. As part of the official, accredited program, the workshop sessions should be free of any branded marketing materials. You may distribute clinical trials data or peer-reviewed journal articles; you may also generate leads.

Format

These focused interactions are where attendees often best absorb detailed information about the tools available for their practice as physicians.

Companies are offered stations in a room for attendees to rotate through at their own pace. Representatives from industry lead the demonstrations. You are generally encouraged to bring simulators, models, or non-sterile sample product - the main idea is to make your display interactive and experiential, rather than a lecture or didactic format.

You may request any physician to help proctor your hands-on station, although we recommend you choose a physician already attending the meeting. You are responsible for making these arrangments.

Workshop Schedule

Thursday, Oct. 5th, 3:30pm-5:00pm: PE hands-on workshop

Friday, Oct. 6th, 3:00pm-5:00pm: DVT hands-on workshop

Saturday, Oct. 7th, 10:00am-12:30pm: IVC filter retrieval hands-on workshop

Please contact Christian Lopez by email or at (703) 460-5575 if you have questions about the workshop program.
