Post Your Meeting or Obtain Mailing Labels

SIR's department of education has grown significantly since early 2001. Included in this expansion is an increase in the number of educational programs being offered throughout the year. This is a result of our members' increasing need to remain in the forefront of their specialty.

Because of this demand, the SIR Executive Council realized the need to emphasize its mission of providing the highest quality educational programs in the field of vascular and interventional radiology. In order for the Society to remain the leader in training and education, the SIR Operations Committee recently approved a policy regarding the Society's member mailing list:

This policy states that when an outside party organizes a meeting whose date and region conflicts directly with an SIR meeting and requests the opportunity to purchase the Society's mailing list, the request cannot be fulfilled. Additionally, if a mailing list is requested for a meeting that falls three weeks prior to or three weeks following the SIR Annual Meeting, that request also cannot be fulfilled.

This policy was implemented to ensure that SIR members would be provided the greatest opportunity to attend and participate in the Society's meetings. The Society has other ways of offering members avenues to market their meetings such as the SIR newsletter or through the SIR website.
