Fourth Annual SIR Fellows Spring Practicum

The fourth Annual SIR Fellows Spring Practicum will be held May 14-16 at the Hotel Orrington in Evanston, Ill. This year, the course will focus on two important aspects of interventional radiology: peripheral arterial interventions and oncologic interventions. The practicum will give attendees the opportunity to network with active interventional radiologists and several of the leading device representatives in the industry. Members who are current fellows-in-training or who have recently completed their fellowship would benefit from attending this course.

Practicum participants will

    Discuss the broad spectrum of modern IR practice from the medical management of PAD patients to appropriate evaluation and treatment of Interventional Oncology patients
  • Explain how to set up and maintain an IR clinic and manage competition
  • Discuss lateset data with regards to endovascular management of femoral-popliteal, limb salvage, EVAR and carotid stenting

The course directors for the spring practicum are Robert Hieb, M.D., Alex Powell, M.D., Brian Funaki, M.D., FSIR, and Francis Facchini, M.D.
