Course Description

This course will provide the attendee with an excellent opportunity to network with practicing interventional radiologists from both academic and private practice settings and device representatives from numerous industry partners.

Target Audience

This course is designed for current fellows and recently graduated fellows pursuing a career in interventional radiology. This course is also open to a limited number of SIR members, including residents.

Registration for the 2013 Fellows Spring Practicum is now open.

Objectives

  • Discuss the broad spectrum of modern IR practice from the medical management of PAD patients to appropriate evaluation and treatment of interventional oncology patients
  • Explain how to set up and maintain an IR clinic and manage competition
  • Discuss latest data with regards to endovascular management of femoral-popliteal, limb salvage, EVAR and carotid stenting

W.L. Gore Associates will be holding the Fellows AAA Symposium from June 1st - June, 2nd, 2013. This program will immediately follow the Fellows Spring Practicum and will also be held at the Hotel Orrington/Evanston. The Gore course is designed to provide attendees with core knowledge of the GORE® EXCLUDER® AAA Endoprosthesis, an open forum for exchange of ideas between attendees and faculty, and a business review to give attendees a head start in transitioning from fellowship to their IR practice. All fellows who are registered for both the SIR Fellows Spring Practicum and the Gore AAA Symposium will receive the following benefits:

  • Gore will fund travel to and from the weekend events
  • Hotel accommodations for June 1st at the Hilton Orrington/Evanston
