Corporate Opportunities
For members of SIR, "Enhanced care through advanced technology" is more than a tag line on
the society's logo ... it's a way of life. Each day more than 4,000 interventional radiologists
generate a variety of images, read films, consult on cases and perform procedures using
assorted devices -- all with the goal of providing cutting edge, minimally-invasive care to improve a
patient's health.
To provide the best patient care, interventional radiologists
must stay abreast of the latest advancements, utilize new equipment and learn updated techniques.
Once familiar with new device options that can improve their work, IRs are responsible for purchasing
products for their practice.
Our latest survey revealed that in one year IRs spent:
- an average of 1.2 million on equipment, with some in excess of 15 million
- an average of $650,000 on devices, with some reaching 5 million
- an average of nearly $60,000 on drugs, with the max being $300,000
IRs rely on corporate help to share information, provide training and educate them about what's new.
Our members look forward to the Annual Scientific Meeting as a time to get caught up on not only
research, but new procedures and the latest technology. It's a great time for you to reach that
eager, captive audience of interventional radiolgoists from around the world to highlight your
new products and reinforce existing relationships.
There are a variety of opportunites that can assist you in targeting IRs at the Society's
annual meeting -- several of which are listed on the side navigation of this page. For more information,
