The Society of Interventional Radiology Political Action Committee (SIRPAC) was launched during SIR's Annual Scientific Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana in March 2005. SIRPAC is the non-partisan political action committee of SIR.
SIRPAC will be working to advance the interests of SIR members, their practices and patients through direct financial support of key congressional leaders and candidates who are interested in and supportive of interventional radiology in particular, and healthcare in general.
SIRPAC is a way in which you can make a difference in our democracy and help advance the policy objectives of your practice and your specialty. 100 percent of any contribution to SIRPAC is used to support candidates who advocate on behalf of your patients' health care interests. All administrative costs are covered by SIR.
SIRPAC is a major milestone in the Society's development, and all members are encouraged to join in support of this important advocacy initiative. To learn more about SIR's current Congressional efforts, read the monthly Washington Interventionalist Report.
